Pleasant Plains Fire Protection District operates independently of the Village of Pleasant Plains


Pleasant Plains Rural Fire Protection District

The Pleasant Plains Rural Fire Protection District serves over 3,000 residents
covering approximately 100 square miles in Sangamon County.

The District provides fire/rescue and basic emergency medical services using
a variety of emergency vehicles which include three Fire Engines, a Tanker,
an Ambulance, a Brush Truck, and a Rescue Truck. The District also provides
mutual aid to neighboring departments and counties.
