How to contact the Police in both Emergency and Non-Emergency situations in and around the Village of Pleasant Plains:

In an Emergency for Police or Medical Services, call 911.

If it is not an emergency, but an officer is needed right away for a call within the Village limits of Pleasant Plains, call Sangamon County Dispatch at 217-753-6666, and they will contact us.

If you need to speak to an officer about a concern within the Village limits and it is not an emergency, or an officer is not needed right away, you may call our office at 217-626-1351. Please leave a detailed message, along with a callback number, and we will call you back as soon as we retrieve the message.

If Police is needed outside the Village limits, in Rural Sangamon County, call the Sangamon County Dispatch Non-Emergency number at 217-753-6666.

For reporting accidents, reckless drivers, stranded motorists, or any other types of calls that occur on State Rt. 125 outside the Village limits, call 911 or the Illinois State Police Non-Emergency number at 217-786-6677.
